I ordered 2 cube coops with runs and 2 go coops with runs. I live in Canada where we get snow and freezing temperatures and I live in the country with a forest on my property. I used to live in California and had a cube in the suburbs and it worked so well I wanted to try it again. The coops arrived quickly to our country home with friendly service and Dan, who handled my ordered, was willing to answer lots of questions and assist me. The coops came in several well labeled boxes that had the pieces packed safely and in an impressively compact manner. I have completed putting together the go coop and run and have two orpingtons inside. I think a medium sized bird would probably do better in this coop but my orps are doing well. I also completed a cube and run and have 4 orpingtons in that coop but plan to add two more birds. This size seems to fit my large birds very well. I have not been able to finish the other coops yet because of weather and life interruptions. The instructions came inside the main coop box with diagrams in sturdy color printed books plus each box came with its own instructions in black and white as backup. I found that very helpful since I started putting the coops together during a snowfall and the instruction pages got wet. I did not find the coops hard to put together, however a second person would have helped when doing the runs. It did take me quite awhile to put them together, but I was trying to do this during a snow storm and it was cold so my fingers were a bit clumsy...I had some juvenile roosters who needed to be separated, so I was eager to get a coop set up inspite of the weather. Because of the weather, I opted to put a rubber food and water dish inside the coop so I could easily break any ice off of the water if needed. Now I used to live in sunny California and had a cube there. The cube worked great for me in my suburban backyard and the food and water dishes were easy to fill in that climate, I will test them out in Canada, but at a later date. The cube was easy to clean in California and my birds were happy . I did not have a big predator problem in the suburbs but i do deal with mink, fox, coyote, racoon etc where I live now. Because we have had mink attack our chickens in tbe past, I decided to put additional fencing on the run with zipties to reinforce it and make the holes smaller. A mink has since tried to pry the wire cloth off and has climbed all over the coop itself to reach my orpingtons. So far my orpingtons are safe. Hopefully the mink will give up. So far I really like the easy access to the inside of the coops. I prefer the cube to the go and wish I fidnt have to reinforce the run. I love how sturdy the coops seem and how easy they are to clean. I know some people will love the modern look of these, I am kind of old fashioned and miss the classic coop look, but the easy function of these won me over. I am a hobby breeder of several types of chickens and am considering adding more cubes as replacement housing for some of my breeding groups and grow out pens in the future. They seem well made, easy to care for and though expensive, it is nice having a sturdy coop for a small flock delivered that can last longer than a season. Chickens are a lot of fun and having kess chore time makes them even more enjoyable..I have given the Eglu 4 stars only because I had to reinforce the runs with smaller wire for my area. If they had a product to easily solve that problem, I would give them 5 stars. Best Regards, Tanya
